This framed print hangs on my office wall, and it inspired me to write this article. I wanted to learn the history behind the 1957 Buick Limited, as it is named on the brass plate, and was surprised to find out the Limited was built between the years of 1936-42 and again in 1958, but not 1957. As a side note, Buick reserved the term “Limited” for upgraded models trim packages and advanced standard options.
I searched the web for photos of the real ’58 Limited to compare them with the painting, and wa-lah, I think we have a match!
